Need Some Motivation to Get Your Finances on Track?

Whether your goal is getting your finances on track or starting a new business, we all need some uplifting words of wisdom to motivate and inspire us.I am a big believer in starting my day with a strong cup of coffee, and some inspirational reading to set my mind on a positive path for the day. There is no greater motivation than to read about the success of others, many of whom faced great odds and failures before reaching their goals. Whether your goal is getting your finances on track or starting a new business, we all need some uplifting words of wisdom to

Here are 5 quotes to do just that!

  1.  “It takes as much energy to wish as it does to plan” — Eleanor Roosevelt

How many times have we thought, “I wish i had the money to….. ?” Stop wishing and start planning. The biggest financial hurdle many face is not having a plan in place, even if your plan is as small as saving $50.00 per month.

2. “You will never win if you never begin.” — Helen Rowland

The second biggest financial hurdle, not starting something. Often, we don’t know where to start, so we don’t start at all. Begin something, today!

3. “The question isn’t who’s going to let me, it’s who’s going to stop me” — Ayn Rand

Are you letting someone else, a spouse or significant other handle the finances? This works until it doesn’t. Let’s face it, life happens– death, divorce, unplanned emergencies. Ideally, both should be equally informed and empowered regarding your household’s financial decisions.

4. “If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.” -Tony Robbins, Motivational Speaker

Whenever I meet a client who is struggling with their money mind-set, I present this quote as a gentle reminder to look at the habits that have kept them from achieving their financial goals.

5. “Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never have enough.” — Oprah Winfrey

Gratitude! Enough said……

Refer to a quote or two throughout the day, print it, use post it notes, or frame one and put it on your desk (my favorite), but do let the wisdom and insight of others serve as a powerful motivator and reminder that your goals are within reach, you just need the right mindset and a little hard work.
