Co-President of Connect The Dots
Kate Rafferty brings technology and marketing into the mix. She’s not exactly a techie guru but when she saw a demo of the virtual world for business, she thought wow wouldn’t that be fun to create a community on that? After attending pleny of business meetings, networking groups, zoom calls, Facebook lives, and webinars – THIS really seemed to provide fun opportunities for people to meeting (virtually), interact, and share information.
Kate is responsible for all technical aspects of the website and the Virtual World. Because her background is in Seach Engine Optimization (SEO) she will also be optimizing the business directorys and Subject-Matter-Expert events. Occassionally she will conduct some presentations and workshops for businesses – if you are a do-it-yourself professional or are looking to make plans for an SEO and/or Social Media campaign feel free to reach out to Kate.
Kate has been working in software development since 1984, in websites since 1999, in SEO since 2005, and in Social Media as the various social media channels have been evolving.
Kate’s background has been in software development and Internet Marketing. She moved from working in New York City to working from home when she had her son at the not-to-young age of 39.
Working from home had been a dream since college but in 1984 the technology just wasn’t quite there. When she started her Search Engine Optimization (SEO) business in 2002 people were saying “why does my business need a website?” and later “my clients would never be on social media”. Kate has enjoyed this tech ride and takes pride in createing creative, yet realistic Internet Marketing solutions that are results-driven.
Kate supports the Woman’s Club of Red Bank (www.WomansClubOfRedBank.org) by providing all their hosting, website, and SEO needs. Many of the physical events that Connect The Dots have in New Jersey are at the Woman’s Club.
